Our Fence Building Process
First Class Fencing in Calgary aims to provide you with the most pleasant fencing experience possible, from start to finish. We will be transparent and open in our communication with you, will suggest innovative and creative solutions for your fencing needs and hope for complete customer satisfaction with the end results. Here is what our step by step fence building process looks like:
Step One: Receive an accurate quote for your fencing project.
Once we hear from you, we will set up an appointment to meet with you, view your property and learn about your main objectives, needs and expectations for your new fence. During this discussion, we will determine the specific type of fencing products and design that will meet all your criteria. You can choose between a wood fence, vinyl, ornamental or a unique architectural fence. We will also offer suggestions to help you get the most out of your budget for the project.
Step Two: Preparing for your fencing project.
A week before we start building your new fence, we will get in touch with you to review the final plan in detail. At this time, we will make arrangements with Alberta One Call to confirm the project site is safe for digging and construction.
Alberta One Call will mark where your utilities are located including gas, water, cable and telephone lines. Alberta One Call usually takes two business days to complete their inspection. While we are waiting for them to finish up, we will have the fencing materials delivered to your property.
Step Three: Building your fence.
The average construction of fencing in Calgary can take between two and five days depending on the size of your project. When our site managers arrive, they will conduct a detailed walk-through and project review with the fence installers to ensure each crew member understands all the specifics of your project. We will then:
- Follow all safety procedures and design plans.
- Receive all raw fencing materials, equipment and tools on-site.
- Dig fencing post holes.
- Construct your fence and gates.
Our service to you is not complete until your premises is completely cleaned and cleared of clutter, tools and construction debris. We clean as we go, meaning all garbage and other accumulated materials will be collected and removed off site by First Class Fencing throughout the course of your project. You will never come home to a messy construction site!
Step Four: Your fencing project is complete!
This is the most exciting part! As we enter the final stage of completion, we will take you for a walk-through, so you can inspect the finished fence. We want to ensure you are completely satisfied with your new fence and will discuss any minor changes you require and answer all your questions before signing off on the project.
Step Five: Payment
Once your Calgary fencing project is complete and you are 100% satisfied with your brand-new fence, we will send you an invoice. You can choose to have your invoice sent to you via email, post, fax or delivered in person. First Class Fencing accepts payments via cash or cheque.
